DIPRA What's New

The Cast Iron Pipe Century Club was organized in 1947 to publicly recognize water utilities with Cast Iron mains that have provided service for 100 years or more.  Currently, there are at least 628 utilities that have had their Cast Iron pipelines provide a Century of Service.

In the 1980's, it was noted that a quite a few Century Club members had Cast Iron pipelines continue to provide water to their customers 150 years after they were installed.  To recognize those outstanding utilities the Cast Iron Pipe Sesquicentury Club was organized in 1989 with the induction of the 10 charter members of this ever-growing club (now at least 23 members).

DIPRA knows that it takes great management of a great product to obtain such outstanding levels of service.  As new members of each club come on board, we will celebrate their achievements with photographs and comments.  Be sure to check here to see the newest members of the Cast Iron Pipe Century and Sesquicentury Clubs.
